LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham delivers a broad DC character roster, compact puzzle stages, and familiar brick-smashing humor. Repeated ability switching and awkward mobile controls can slow it down, but completion-focused superhero fans have plenty to collect.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham sends Batman, the Justice League, and a large group of DC heroes and villains into space after Brainiac threatens Earth. Despite the shortened title used by some mobile listings, this is the adaptation of LEGO Batman 3 rather than an open-world game centered entirely on Gotham. Play follows the established LEGO formula.

Characters fight simple groups of enemies, break scenery into studs, rebuild marked piles, and use specialized abilities to solve environmental puzzles. Batman and Robin's suits cover many functions, while later characters contribute flight, strength, electricity, lasers, intelligence panels, stealth, and other powers. Story mode provides the required cast; Free Play allows unlocked characters to revisit stages and reach previously inaccessible collectibles.

The large roster is the main attraction. DC fans can experiment with famous heroes, obscure villains, alternate costumes, and humorous interpretations of familiar personalities. The campaign moves through recognizable locations such as the Batcave, Justice League Watchtower, Lantern worlds, and Brainiac's ship rather than maintaining one seamless city.

Its structure also creates repetition. A puzzle can involve several rounds of breaking bricks, building a device, and changing to the character whose icon matches the nearby prompt. Touch controls are serviceable but less comfortable than a controller during flying or platforming.

Even so, the low penalty for failure and constant collectible trail make it welcoming. It is best for players who enjoy methodical completion and character variety more than demanding combat.

Move through each story stage with the available characters and break nearby LEGO objects to reveal studs or construction pieces. When loose bricks bounce on the floor, hold the build control until they form the required device. Watch for character portraits or colored effects that indicate a specific ability.

Switch suits or characters when a puzzle blocks progress. Sensors reveal hidden pieces, explosive abilities destroy silver objects, lasers cut gold surfaces, strong characters pull marked handles, and flying characters reach elevated switches. If an object cannot be used during Story mode, remember its location for Free Play rather than assuming the level is broken.

Collect studs to fill the True Hero meter and buy unlocked characters or extras. Avoid repeatedly falling or taking damage because lost studs can prevent the meter from reaching its target. Complete the story first, then revisit stages in Free Play with a varied team to collect minikits, character tokens, and other secrets.

On mobile, adjust touch-control options if available and use deliberate inputs during flight. Current platform availability differs by region and device, so verify compatibility before purchase. PC and console editions may provide a more comfortable controller experience and can differ from the mobile adaptation.
