The impacts remain entertaining, but randomized room order, limited lives, upgrade economies, and competitive chores make it less precise and self-contained than the original.

Angry Birds 2 preserves the series' best sensation: releasing a bird at the right angle and watching a fragile tower collapse in stages. Materials crack differently, pigs tumble through gaps, and a lucky chain reaction can finish a room after the screen appears settled. The sequel presents this destruction with polished animation and larger multi-room levels, giving successful shots plenty of spectacle.

The major change is the card system. Instead of receiving a fixed bird order, players choose from a hand and can earn additional cards by filling the Destructometer through efficient damage. Each bird has a distinct ability, from splitting in flight to accelerating through wood or dropping explosives.

Spells, boss fights, arena rounds, daily challenges, clans, and seasonal events create far more to do than a straight campaign. That abundance changes the character of the puzzle. Room layouts and card availability introduce uncertainty, so a failed attempt is not always solved by refining the same shot.

Bird levels and hats also contribute to score power, making upgrades relevant to competition. Lives, currencies, event schedules, and purchase prompts push the game toward daily service routines. Angry Birds 2 is visually impressive and consistently fun when structures behave in surprising ways.

It is best for players who want an ongoing collection and competition game around slingshot physics; those who preferred fixed, replayable puzzles may find the extra systems dilute the elegance.
